To make the process as simple as possible, we have provided a zip file with SXR template files that can be imported, saved, and scheduled.
The zipped file is available at the bottom of this guide.
Importing the Reports
To add these reports, first download and unzip the file to a local directory on your computer. Then, in Qmlativ, go to "Administrative Access > Reporting > Report manager" (if you already have administrative access, you may just need to click the 3-horizontal-line menu in the top left).
Once in the Report manager, select "Upload Reports" in the top-right of the Report Manager window. Then, click "Select Files" and choose all of the report .sxr files in the unzipped folder from the first step. You should be able to upload all reports simultaneously. Next, select "Run Processes" in the top-left.
You should now have 9 reports named with the following schema "Apptegy Connect [Report Type]." For each report, click on its name to open its Report Details. The settings of the templates should be correct, but ensure that Encoding Type is UTF-8 and that the report is published.
Scheduling the Exports
Click the 3-line menu in the top left and navigate to "Reporting > My Scheduled Reports." Then, click "Add Scheduled Report" in top-right of the Scheduled Reports area.
Name each schedule with the report's name with " - Export" added on the end. For example Apptegy Connect Students would be named Apptegy Connect - Students in the scheduled report.
Next, Select the appropriate report from the "Report" drop down menu.
Next, ensure the following
-Automatically update if prompts have not changed is checked
-Frequency is "Daily"
-Start Date is the current date
Click "Save and Add Export Location"
For each file file, make the name of the file the name of the report (without apptegy) with all spaces being underscores. So, "Apptegy Connect Students" would be "apptegy_connect_students" (with no file extension).
Ensure the following is configured:
Automate File Name: Unchecked
Append Date to file name: Unchecked
Overwrite Existing File: Checked
For the first scheduled report, please click the + sign next to File Destination to create a new SFTP location using the credentials in the below link. If you get a failure on the "read test" when testing the connection, don't worry! That is as expected. For all exports after the first, you should be able to search the name of the created file destination to apply it.
If you have not received SFTP credentials in a secure 1Pass reach out to Apptegy and we will help you.
Save the scheduled export and it should run overnight at the scheduled time, or you can manually run each export to send a file immediately.
